And compassion of ‘he said, she said’ lead to the closure of Turner Scott Motorsports.

The closure concluded with the selling of equipment over the last few weeks.

Employees were laid off following the season-finale in November, and the building, located at 112 Byers Creek Road in Mooresville, NC now sits empty awaiting new tenants, Richard Petty Motorsports.

Ben Kennedy, who ended the season as the only remaining full-time Camping World Truck Series driver for the team, earned the 2014 Rookie of the Year award, has not yet announced his 2015 racing plans. Steve Turner had fielded truck entries since 2009. The team won the 2012 truck championship with driver James Buescher.

In August, the team announced initial layoffs and the closure of the #30 team with driver Ron Hornaday, Jr. as co-owners Steve Turner and Harry Scott, Jr. each filed lawsuits against each other over various financial issues.

Scott, who also runs the HScott Motorsports #51 Sprint Cup Series team, recently announced he was merging with Chip Ganassi Racing to field a team in the Xfinity (formerly Nationwide) Series for 2015.
