Jimmie Johnson, Martin Truex Jr., Aric Almirola and J.J. Yeley are scheduled to take part in a Goodyear tire test beginning today at Kansas Speedway.
The session concludes Tuesday. There is an open test for NASCAR Sprint Cup organizations Wednesday.
Only one tire test remains this season after the Kansas test. Stewart-Haas Racing, Team Penske, JTG Daugherty and Joe Gibbs Racing will take part in a tire test Oct. 12-13 at Phoenix International Raceway.
A tire test at Auto Club Speedway scheduled for late October was canceled.
Each Cup organization is allowed to have one team at Wednesday’s open test. Scheduled to test that day are Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Jamie McMurray, Paul Menard, Clint Bowyer, Greg Biffle, Alex Bowman, Ryan Blaney, Johnson, Truex, Almirola and Yeley.
