Traxxas will be the primary sponsor of two John Force Racing Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Cars at the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals, where fans can also get discounts on Traxxas products based on the success of the team.
Courtney Force, whose colorful, eye-catching livery for the Traxxas Funny Car has been tuned up to all pink for the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, will be joined by her father, John, who also will be flying the colors of Traxxas, the Fastest Name In Radio Control.
“I think it will be great coming into Dallas and giving the fans a real show with two Traxxas Funny Cars competing within the same race, me and my dad,” said Courtney. “I’m honored to run the pink car but also excited for my dad to run a paint scheme similar to my rookie car, while at the home track of Traxxas!”
“Coming into the month of October, I was so excited to have the opportunity to help spread awareness in finding a cure, for Breast Cancer Awareness month, while running my pink Traxxas Funny Car.”
Added her famous father, “I love that fact that I’ll be running the red Traxxas Chevrolet in Ennis. Texas is the home state for Traxxas and they have been really good to John Force Racing and the NHRA. I have won the Traxxas Shootout a couple of times and I want to get another win at the Texas Motorplex. Courtney and I will both be promoting Traxxas as well as all our sponsors that weekend and hopefully one of us will get the win.”
Because Texas Motorplex is considered the home track for Traxxas, Traxxas is offering race fans a chance to get some Texas-sized savings. Should John or Courtney reach the semifinals, fans will receive 10 percent off their purchase. If either of the Forces advances to the finals, fans will receive 20 percent off their purchase. Traxxas kicks it up another notch by offering 20 percent off and a free DTS-1 drag timing system with the purchase of two vehicles if either of the Forces wins the final round. “We definitely want to get as many round wins as possible and save some money for the fans on these Traxxas radio controlled race cars and trucks,” said John. “We want everyone to keep an eye on John Force Racing and be ready to save some money when we hopefully win this race. The competition is tough and I am in a battle for the championship so this weekend is important. I’ll do my best and I know Courtney will be at the top of her game like she always is. She won this race last year and we’ll see if one of us can do it again.”
“The Ennis race will be so exciting for fans, not only seeing my dad and I both representing Traxxas in a big way, but also giving the fans an opportunity to be involved in the Double-Down Discount promotion,” said Courtney. “I’m excited to get the fans involved with this Traxxas promotion. It definitely gives extra motivation for me and my dad, as drivers, to do well at this track and work hard to get that win! If we can get a win here then everyone wins!”
