Dakoda Armstrong has left Richard Petty Motorsports and has replaced JJ Yeley in the No. 28 JGL Racing Toyota Camry in the Xfinity Series, according to a report by Motorsport.com.

The team will have factory support from Toyota Racing Development and engines from Joe Gibbs Racing. Also, JGL Racing team manager Steven Lane will also serve as Armstrong’s crew chief, the Motorsport report added.

Armstrong, 24, spent the last two seasons driving the No. 43 Ford for RPM in the Xfinity Series. The New Castle, Indiana native finished 13th in 2014 and 12th in 2015.

Armstrong previously drove in both the Xfinity and Camping World Truck series for Richard Childress Racing.

A two-car operation, JGL still has one more seat to fill in its 2016 Xfinity program. It’s seeking a second driver to pilot the No. 24 Toyota Camry, which previously ran under the No. 26, Lane told Motorsport.com.
