After nearly a week of silence on his status for Round 4 of Monster Energy Supercross in Oakland, KTM announced today that Dean Wilson suffered a torn ACL and bruised MCL and meniscus in his knee during a practice crash at Round 3 in Anaheim. Wilson will miss the remainder of Monster Energy Supercross, the second straight season a torn ACL has ended his season early.
Wilson flew to Belgium earlier this week to have surgery today (Friday). Per the team, Wilson’s surgery was successful.
In his second year in 450SX, Wilson finished ninth and fifteenth, respectively, at the opening two rounds of the series.
