As NASCAR continues to pledge to fans to return to its roots, Bowman Gray Stadium was chosen as the venue for the pre-season exhibition event. The only issue is the quarter-mile short track holds several logistical challenges for the world’s largest stock car series.
With little space for the extra haulers needed for the sanctioning body to perform pre-race inspections, Charlotte Motor Speedway, an hour down the world, has agreed to let inspections take place in their infield before the cars are transported to the short track.
Since NASCAR races at their home track of CMS twice a year, most of what they need for the inspection process is already set up heading into the 2025 season.
