“I’m very proud to announce that the Southern California Toyota Dealers have come aboard at the Irwindale Event Center as our official vehicle providers,” said the IEC’s President and CEO Jim Cohan. “This is a very important endorsement for our organization and we aim to repay the dealers with the renewal of local Home Track NASCAR racing here at Irwindale Speedway.”

The 59-dealer strong association will have an on-site presence at every NASCAR and NHRA event at the IEC which includes providing the facility’s on-track safety vehicles and official pace car.

Additionally, there will be a continuing display of the latest Toyota and Scion vehicles in the fan area just inside the main spectator gates of the Speedway. “Our guests will be able to get a close-up look at some of the latest passenger cars and light trucks from Toyota each week,” said facility GM/COO Bob Klein. “We’ll be set up to help them reach fans and families from across Southern California at our events.”

Opening night 2013 is Saturday, April 6 and the Toyota official on-track fleet (three Tundra Trucks and an Avalon Pace Car) is ready for the work ahead. “Everyone here is excited about having Toyota back on this track again,” said Cohan.

Toyota joins a strong group of the IEC sponsors that includes Lucas Oil, Loan Mart, MAVTV, Eibach, Pick Your Part, Coke, K&N, Jeg’s, Jan’s Towing, Sprint, and Echo Equipment.
