On Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Roush-Fenway announced their 2015 driver lineup which comforted what the media and most fans have known for months, Carl Edwards will not be driving the #99 RFR Ford.
“I will always be thankful for Carl’s contribution and the role he played in many Roush Fenway wins and championships,” said Roush. “We wish him well for the future. In the meantime, we are excited about continuing our quest for a championship with Carl and the No. 99 team in 2014.”
Rumors have Edwards going to Joe Gibbs Racing in 2015, but nothing is expected to be announced until September 2014.
