Sebastien Bourdais was fined $10,000 and placed on probation for the rest of the season Wednesday for unsafe driving during last weekend’s IndyCar race in Texas.

Bourdais was penalized after saying he thought he had positioned himself to prevent Justin Wilson from passing him on Lap 121. When Wilson tried to make the move, the two cars crashed.

IndyCar officials also said Honda had lost 30 points in the manufacturer’s championship for changing engines in three cars earlier than allowed, and that Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing was fined $5,000 for a technical violation.

Hartman’s team was found to have used an improper rear wing angle on Josef Newgarden’s car. The series docked Honda 10 points each for changing engines on cars driven by Takuma Sato, Marco Andretti and Ryan Hunter-Reay.
