Hoosier Racing Tires have been announced as the official racing tire supplier of the 2013 NASCAR racing season at Irwindale Speedway. “We’re very pleased to be working with Hoosier as our official racing tire supplier for all of our NASCAR racing divisions,” said Irwindale Event Center GM/COO Bob Klein.
“We’re coming back after a year when there was no NASCAR racing at our track; we really need to get it right and we feel that working with Hoosier as the exclusive racing tire supplier for our 2013 racing series will assure us a full season of exciting short track competition.”
Hoosier Tire West’s president Rick Gerhardt, was equally as enthusiastic, “We’re so pleased that Irwindale has signed on with us to supply race tires for the next three seasons. Everyone knows what Irwindale means to short track racing in the southland … we’re very proud to have been chosen to support this premier track with our American-made tire products.”
Hoosier will also continue as the official tire supplier to Irwindale Event Center’s onsite stock car driving school, the L.A. Racing Experience. “Our school cars regularly run the equivalent of twenty race weekends in one week. And our students are just as tough, or tougher, than our Saturday night racers are on their tires,” Klein indicated, “We couldn’t do that without Hoosier’s great tires and technical support.” (Irwindale)
