Florida native Joey Coulter will not return to the cockpit of the No. 21 GMS Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado this season, instead assuming the post of Team Relationships Coordinator for the team.

“I am excited to continue my relationship with GMS Racing,” said Coulter this week.

6_OVnfbE“Unfortunately, due to a lack of sponsorship, I will not be in a truck this season. Taking on a new position with GMS allows me to continue my involvement in the racing community and also stay involved as a driver with my family’s dirt racing program. So I get the best of both worlds.”

After relocating to the former Evernham/Richard Petty Motorsports building in Statesville, NC, GMS Racing continues to plan for the 2015 season, with additional announcements surrounding driver, sponsor and team lineups still to come.

The first event of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Daytona International Speedway is just 43 days away.
