JR Motorsports will appeal Sam Mayer’s disqualification from last weekend’s Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Following the United Rentals 250, the No. 1 car failed the post-race ride height requirement, with it being too low. The disqualification dropped Mayer from 16th in the finishing order to 38th, earning a single point.
The appeal has been expedited and will take place before this weekend’s Round of 12 elimination race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval.
