It was officially announced today that Kyle Larson will drive for Turner Scott Motorsports in the first ever Camping World Truck Series race at Eldora Speedway.
The 20-year-old will pilot the #30 Clorox Chevy Silverado at the series’ first ever race on dirt on July 24 in Rossburg, Ohio. Larson, who drives full time for TSM in their #32 Nationwide Series entry, has one previous NCWTS start this season at Rockingham Speedway.
Larson qualified the#30 Chevy Silverado in the third position before dominating the race and earning his first win in one of NASCAR’s top-three series. Larson also competed in four Truck Series races for TSM in 2012, tallying one top five, three top 10s and 91 laps led.
Larson’s racing background, which has been predominately on dirt tracks in open-wheel competition, is no stranger to victory at Eldora Speedway.
The Elk Grove, Calif. native became one of only two drivers to ever sweep the USAC Four Crown Nationals with wins in the Midget, Sprint Car and Silver Crown divisions in 2011. Larson also captured victory in the USAC Midgets at Eldora in 2012.
