Despite missing out on the 2024 Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs, Layne Riggs continued to steamroll through the opening portion of the postseason with his win at Bristol Motor Speedway Thursday evening.

It’s the second win in a row for the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports driver. The 22-year-old North Carolina native won at the Milwaukee Mile last month.

Playoff drivers Corey Heim, Rajah Caruth, Christian Eckes and Nick Sanchez completed the top five. Matt Crafton, Chase Purdy, Ty Majeski, Stewart Friesen and Tyler Ankrum rounded out the top 10.

Caruth, who entered Thursday night’s event last of the Round of 10 drivers in points, leaves Bristol a comfortable plus-35 above the elimination line.

With their finishes, Heim, Eckes and Sanchez clinched their way into the Round of 8 on points.

Title hopeful Daniel Dye took a hit in his playoff campaign after cutting a tire with under 50 laps to go and making contact with Kaden Honeycutt. Dye finished six laps down in 32nd.

Connor Zilisch, who won his second Truck Series pole in as many starts, led 41 laps under the lights before surrendering the lead and later spinning at the end of Stage 2 after contact from Sanchez. Zilisch was scored with a 19th-place result.

The Round of 10 concludes at Kansas Speedway next Friday (8:30 p.m. ET, FS1, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
