The Motorsports Group is owned by Curtis Key, a NASCAR Nationwide Series team owner for over two decades, running cars is well over 400 races.
The team has never won but has gained notoriety as one of the last true independant teams of NASCAR. The currently field the No. 40 and No. 46 cars in NASCAR’s secondary division and are known to start and park often.
Come 2015, they plan to move up to the Cup ranks with a No. 30 Chevrolet S.S. The notable part of the announcement is that they plan to run full races and will attempt every event.
The team is currently seeking a driver for the car.
