For the first time in modern history, the NASCAR Cup Series will see its cars racing in a points-scoring race outside of the United States, thanks to the announcement made today by OCESA, part of Live Nation and recognized as the third largest entertainment promoter worldwide, and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), who will bring the adrenaline and action of NASCAR to Mexico on June 13, 14 and 15, 2025.
In this way, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez will host this historic event as Mexico becomes part of the 2025 calendar of the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The NASCAR Mexico Series will also be part of this weekend, helping to promote these categories and their drivers among national and international fans.

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is 4.303 kilometers long, with 17 curves and is located at an altitude of 2.237 kilometers. Built in 1959, the track was named in honor of the brothers Ricardo Rodríguez and Pedro Rodríguez. The circuit was remodeled in 2015 and since then it has hosted eight editions of the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO Presented by Heineken™, becoming one of the most popular international racing circuits and a spectacular destination for NASCAR fans; which has 36 dates on the calendar, including a Playoff phase, where 15 teams compete with cars from three manufacturers (Chevrolet, Ford and Toyota).
While this will be the first time the NASCAR Cup Series will visit Mexico, there is already a historic relationship between NASCAR and Mexico. In 1950, NASCAR founder Bill France Sr. and Curtis Turner participated in La Carrera Panamericana in Mexico. Meanwhile, from 2005 to 2008, NASCAR Xfinity raced at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, where drivers Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. were crowned winners in races held during those years.
Additionally, NASCAR Mexico has been the premier stock-car series throughout Mexico, with 17 seasons and positioning itself as a breeding ground for talent. This series alone has produced drivers such as Monterrey native Daniel Suárez, who we will have the opportunity to see in action next June. Suárez has competed for eight seasons in the NASCAR Cup Series, adding up to two wins, three poles and 63 top ten finishes. Other rising stars from Drive for Diversity have also emerged, such as Eloy López, Andrés Pérez de Lara and Regina Sirvent.
