Richard Childress Racing announced this week key leadership appointments designed to strengthen the organization’s operations.

Mike Verlander has been named chief operating officer of Richard Childress Racing. The long-time motorsports executive will work closely with chairman and CEO Richard Childress and RCR president Torrey Galida to provide oversight and strategic direction in all areas of day-to-day operations for the 16-time NASCAR championship-winning organization.

Verlander joins RCR with close to 20 years of experience in the motorsports industry, most recently serving as president and chief revenue officer for Kyle Busch Companies, where he led Kyle Busch Motorsports and managed all personal and commercial revenue for the Busch family. Verlander has a proven track record of delivering results and building strategic partnerships with world class brands.

Verlander will join a robust C-level suite that includes newly appointed chief marketing officer Jennifer White, who becomes the first female to hold the CMO title at RCR. White, a 15-year veteran of RCR, most recently served as sr. vice president of marketing and communications, and will continue to lead the organization’s partnership marketing, communications, content and licensing departments.

“Mike Verlander is a highly respected industry veteran who will bring a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to RCR as he helps us chart the course for the long-term future during a very dynamic time in our sport,” said Torrey Galida, president of RCR. “I’m excited for Mike to work with the leadership team in all aspects of our business operations and know that he will do a great job. I’d also like to congratulate Jennifer White on her new position as chief marketing officer for RCR. She has done an outstanding job setting the standard for our partners and building a strong team of marketing and communications professionals.”
