As NASCAR looks to revamp the 2021 Cup schedule and take the series to new locations and tracks, rumors have continued to swirl that street or stadium courses are one option. Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern reports that a course around a sports stadium is seriously being considered with Solider Field in Chicago and the Los Angeles Coliseum mentioned.
NASCAR ran a race at Soldier Field in 1956. It was held inside the stadium on a half mile track. The race was won by Fireball Roberts.
The 2021 schedule is expected to be released by April.
