The 2020 Orange Show Speedway schedule was scheduled to start on Saturday May 2nd. No new 2020 schedule has been announced yet.

Orange Show Sppedway shut down after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended that that organizers cancel or postpone events for the next eight weeks that consist of 50 people or more in the United States. That was back in March and now that the country has started to reopen, the speedway is also making a comeback.

The speedway also posted this message on June 6th on the track’s Facebook account:

We hope to have a lot of info for all racers and fans this week.we want thank the national orange show for all there communication on when we and other things will be able to continue.please let’s be thankful we have a great group of guys who want move forward and bring racing back to orange show speedway.we will race soon.and you will have a update in the very near future.

Hopefully the speedway will announce new dates within the next few weeks. Since masks are required by county and state officials, it stands to reason that OSS (Orange Show Speedway) will also by state law require fans in the stands to wear face masks and maintain social distance on speedway property or be faced with a state shutdown of the speedway.

Earlier this month, the state of North Carolina ordered Ace Speedway to be closed immediately, citing the track as an “imminent hazard for the spread of COVID-19” after it repeatedly violated his executive order against mass gatherings.

The practice at Orange Show Speedway on June 27th is closed to the public.
