Brandon Brown has announced a new full-season sponsor for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. However, reports say the sponsor has not yet been approved by NASCAR.
According to Bob Pockrass from Fox Sports, NASCAR has stated the LGBcoin.io sponsorship is not approved to be on Brandon Brown’s No. 68 Chevrolet.
NASCAR had approved the sponsor and paint scheme via email before the holidays and the sponsor rep James Koutoulas tweeted out a photo of the email exchange on his personal Twitter account Tuesday night and say that if NASCAR revokes the approval, they will bring a lawsuit on NASCAR:
The @brandonbrown_68 went through proper @NASCAR approval process and received formal written approval. If @nascar revokes approval, we will bring suit upon them on behalf of all @LGBcoin_io HODLers who were damaged by their reliance on @nascar written approval & #cancelnascar https://t.co/Tt2dIhWhkS pic.twitter.com/3ooI4VTSMG
