Long-term deals are all the rave the past two days. On the heels of AutoTrader.com/Toyota/JGR Yamaha announcing an extension with Justin Barcia through 2018, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing announced today that they have signed an extension with Jason Anderson through 2018.

“I’m very excited about this opportunity with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team,” Anderson said in a team statement. “To have my deal go through 2018 makes it easy for me to focus on the goal of delivering results, and nothing else.”

Anderson finished sixth overall in his rookie season of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, which included four moto podium finishes. In his first 450 season in Monster Energy Supercross, Anderson finished seventh overall with two podiums.

“Jason and I have built a great working relationship and we feel the same way about what we want to accomplish together,” said team owner/manager Bobby Hewitt. Anderson has been with the team since making his pro debut in 2011.

The team also announced an extension with Christophe Pourcel through the 2017 season. Pourcel signed with the team prior to the start of the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

“I’m really excited to continue with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team and look forward to starting my 450 supercross career,” Pourcel said. “I am also looking forward to racing the new 2016 Husqvarna Motorcycles and bringing even more success to the brand and team.”

“I truly believe he has found his home with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing,” said Hewitt.

In his first season with the team, Pourcel finished fifth overall in 450MX. He had five moto podiums in his first full season in the 450 Class in the U.S.
