After the crews at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway worked for hours to try to dry the track only for the skies to open up again around 1pm local time. Rain forced NASCAR to cancel qualifying for the Kobalt Tools 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It’s the first time a Cup qualifying session has ever been rained out in Las Vegas.
The lineup was set by the NASCAR rule book. #2-Keselowski will start from the pole followed by #15-Bowyer, #48-Johnson, #5-Kahne, #16-Biffle, #11-Hamlin, #17-Stenhouse Jr., #29-Harvick, #14-Stewart, and #24-Gordon. The only driver to miss the race: #19-Bliss.
