In continued partnership between Gray Motorsports and KYMCO USA, the official scooter and ATV of NHRA, Pro Stock championship contender Dave Connolly will fly the red and white KYMCO design on his Gray Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro for the final two events of NHRA’s 2014 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

Connolly, No. 3 in the Pro Stock standings and one of three Gray Motorsports drivers gunning for the championship trophy, will race the KYMCO Chevrolet Camaro at the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Oct. 30-Nov. 2, and the Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, Nov. 13-16.

KYMCO USA is an ongoing partner of the Gray Motorsports family, an NHRA Pro Stock team owned by Johnny Gray and managed by Victor Cagnazzi, and exhibits generous support by providing scooters for use at NHRA events and at the Gray Motorsports race shop in Denver, N.C.

Earlier this season, KYMCO USA stepped up its support of Gray Motorsports and announced a multirace sponsorship package beginning with the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Auto-Plus Raceway at Gainesville. The KYMCO USA paint scheme adorned a brand-new Jerry Haas-built Chevrolet Camaro piloted by Shane Gray, who continued to wear KYMCO colors throughout the early part of the season.

“It was a lot of fun to race that bright red KYMCO Camaro earlier this season, and I’m happy to see my teammate Dave Connolly finishing the year with KYMCO on his Camaro over there,” said Gray, who won the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis to finish off the regular season and is No. 4 in the points. “Dave’s had a lot of success racing with Gray Motorsports this year, and hopefully we can put that KYMCO car in the winner’s circle before the season is through.”
