ThorSport Racing is excited to announce that Cam Waters, Australia’s most versatile racer, will make his return to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series at Kansas Speedway on May 4th, 2024. Waters will be behind the wheel of the No. 66 TRADIE Ford Performance F-150.

Cam Waters made his debut in the NASCAR Truck Series at Martinsville Speedway, driving for ThorSport Racing. Despite his limited practice time and unfamiliarity with the truck’s dynamics, he remained optimistic about mastering this new racing environment. Unfortunately, his race ended prematurely due to a multi-vehicle incident, which put him in 30th place in the final standings. Despite this setback, Waters enjoyed the experience and learned a lot from it, considering his future in NASCAR. He will return to ThorSport to race at Kansas Speedway, which will present new opportunities for the Australian native.

“It’s great to be getting another crack at racing the Ford truck for ThorSport and hopefully I can adapt to the Kansas Speedway reasonably quickly. The track is almost three times long as Martinsville and has an average lap-speed of just on 180-mph, although I have heard it’s less of a bull ring than Martinsville was.”

“I’ll spend some more time in the simulator to accelerate the learning and look forward to the challenge. I also appreciate some news services have already mention the Kansas race, but what nobody knew at the time was NASCAR have stringent criteria they apply to licensing for the high-speed venues, and I needed to get through Martinsville before I could be assessed for approval to run at Kansas. This has now been completed.”

TRADIE, the returning sponsor of Waters’ No. 66 Ford Performance F-150, is known for adding fun, humanity, and personality to the market since its founding in 2010. Starting as an underwear line, TRADIE has expanded to offer a wide range of products for the entire family, embodying adventure, the great outdoors, curiosity, and confidence.
