Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna’s Christophe Pourcel will sit out Round 15 of Monster Energy Supercross from Foxborough, MA this weekend due to internal bruising sustained in a crash at Indianapolis.
Pourcel elected to race last weekend, finishing seventeenth, but after the team consulted with doctors this week, they elected to have Pourcel stay off the bike this week so that he can be 100 percent for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
The team has yet to make a decision on Pourcel’s status for next weekend at East Rutherford, NJ.
Through fourteen rounds of Monster Energy Supercross, Pourcel is fifteenth in points with a season-high seventh coming in Indianapolis.
