Triple Eight Race Engineering is thrilled to announce the signing of Will Brown who will join Red Bull Ampol Racing from 2024 on a three-year deal.

The 25-year-old is a proven race winner and one of the category’s most exciting talents, and the team look forward to celebrating this exciting new partnership in January 2024.

The announcement comes as the team has agreed to allow Shane ‘SVG’ van Gisbergen to explore his dreams to race in overseas categories in 2024 and beyond.

Trackhouse Racing is finalizing a deal to bring Australian Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen to NASCAR full time starting in 2024, according to a person familiar with the matter, boosting the sport’s international growth profile. The 34-year-old New Zealander made headlines last month when he became the first person to win in their debut in the NASCAR Cup Series in 60 years when he took first at the Chicago Street Race.

Van Gisbergen’s exact plans still have yet to be announced, but a source told SBJ that Trackhouse is in the final stages of negotiations with van Gisbergen on a wide-ranging developmental deal, suggesting that he may not compete in the premier Cup Series full time right away.

Trackhouse has explored the possibility of buying or leasing a charter to run him full time, but it is unclear how those efforts have turned out. Nonetheless, the deal fulfills one of Trackhouse’s goals to bring an international star to NASCAR racing full time, and the move is sure to boost the sport and the team’s fanbase in Australia and New Zealand.
